Quality control

In order to meet the most specific design requirements of high technology sectors, not only in terms of performance but also of security, LBI understood at an early stage that it was necessary to reach the “maximum” level of quality.

Main features

Each stage of the production, from incoming raw materials to the finished product, is carried out under the most extensive and strict controls: dimensional and quality controls, chemical and metallurgical controls and mechanical characteristics controls.

The Quality Department inspects all parts during production and on completion, for compliance with the relevant technical specifications and sees that all internal inspection procedures are applied through periodic internal audits. It reports to the General Management, giving details of any discrepancies, and defines the potential corrections to be implemented with all the personnel involved.

LBI has been certified ISO 9001:2015.

Dimensions and shapes

Centrifugation is mainly reserved for hollow cylindrical parts (rings, tubes, etc.). The raw external profile, generally of revolution, can be stepped (several different diameters), with flange(s) or even conical shapes.

The bore, which is cylindrical because cores are not used, is obtained by the quantity of metal introduced into the centrifugation shell.

The large fleet of tools, of more than 1,500 shells, makes it possible to achieve the dimensions and shapes requested very closely enabling an economical solution with little waste.
